Special Student Fee and Tuition Committee

The Special Student Fee and Tuition Committee (SSFTC) is a statutory committee of five students and five university employees that considers proposed student activity changes and makes recommendations to the president concerning special student fee changes. The president transmits the committee’s endorsements and/or recommendations and the president's recommendations to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, prior to scheduled meetings at which special fees will be discussed and final decisions made.
Activity
The SSFTC met in the fall of 2005 to discuss changes for the 2006-2007 academic year. The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, considered the committee's recommendations at their November 2005 meeting. The allocation of the mandatory fees was approved by the Board of Regents, State of Iowa at their May 2006 meeting.
