Fraternities and Sororities, University Committee on

Charge

The UCFS is a standing advisory committee to the Vice President for Student Affairs Office. The goal of the committee is to assist the university in establishing and implementing policies and procedures concerning the Collegiate Panhellenic, Interfraternity, National Pan-Hellenic and Multicultural Greek Council fraternities and sororities consistent with the education and social goals of Iowa State University, the local community, and the State of Iowa.

For the committee’s membership composition, it is beneficial if one or more faculty, staff and/or community members represent the Ames Alumnae Panhellenic and Greek Alumni Alliance. The three graduate assistants are Interfraternity Council (IFC), Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC), and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) / Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) advisors. The four faculty/staff members represent each of the Greek governing councils. The four community volunteers also represent each of the Greek governing councils.
