Maintenance and Improvement Committee
Charge
The Maintenance and Improvement Committee (MIC) is a widely represented group with responsibility for approval and funding of maintenance projects requested by users and Facilities Planning and Management staff. Funding for maintenance projects is limited so MIC is charged with setting priorities of how the funds may be spent. The committee must approve projects greater than $5,000. The building repair fund is a limited resource that provides emergency repairs to general university facilities; the committee approves use of the building repair fund on a case by case basis.
The committee also assists the administration with the development of a priority order for year-end funded projects.
Activity
MIC meets on a 4 week schedule throughout the year.
