Greek Alumni Alliance

Charge

The GAA is an incorporated (August 2004) nonprofit organization that serves to provide long-term viability and growth of the Iowa State University Greek Community, provide forum for discussion and dissemination of information, advocate on behalf of the Greek community to entities such as the university, local municipality and other entities as necessary and provide leadership and support to the Office of Greek Affairs.

Membership may include up to two alumni representatives from any Iowa State University chapter or alumni membership of the National Interfraternity Council, National Panhellenic Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations or local organizations formally recognized by the University Committee on Fraternities and Sororities. General membership is available to any of the above mentioned organizations. Full membership is granted to organizations that have paid their annual dues. Reserved membership is granted to organizations that have not paid their annual dues. Greek student leaders and the Office of Greek Affairs collaborate extensively with the GAA and attend all meetings.

The Office of Greek Affairs, a unit of the Dean of Students Office/Student Affairs, sponsors the Greek Alumni Alliance.
